ABOUT:

An Emergency Medical Technician from the age of sixteen, Jacob Gibson grew up in the emergency lifestyle. A President's Freedom scholarship winner, he was recognized by President George W. Bush in 2005. Originally a diploma RN, he went on to complete his BSN with honors from Urbana University. In 2021 he started advanced training with a graduate-level education in Criminal Justice and Forensic Nursing at Xavier University. He currently splits his time working in the field of emergency nursing, forensics, and he also maintains a full caseload investigating criminal complaints with the Madison County Sheriff's Office.

Early Life:

Born into a non-traditional family, Jacob's mother was a community leader a social worker turned Police Officer. She raised her children believing that the greatest honor one can have is serving your community. Growing up the son of a Police Officer allowed Jacob unique insight into the "emergency lifestyle" and a first-hand early account of the real problems our communities face. When his mother died when he was 11, his father struggled to finish raising the family. Starting as a busboy at the age of 12 he started a tradition of hard work and dedication. His tenacity would serve him well became an EMT at 16, Firefighter and EMT-I at 18, Police Officer at 19.

Now:

Jacob currently resides in London, Ohio. A self-described workaholic he splits his days between many roles as a Police Supervisor, Forensic Nurse Examiner, ER Nurse and Paramedic. If that doesn't keep him busy enough he is working on several projects, speaking engagements, and professional development. He is thankful for the overwhelming support he receives every day from his loving Family, Friends, and Co-Workers who he could not survive without.
